Omah Gurlimas

The Omah Gurlimas design tries to maintain the feel of a limasan house with a sustainable approach that takes advantage of the climate, local materials that are transformed into new forms. Old and new are steps to update archipelago architecture which is the determinant in the approach the use of materials in this villa. Local materials become more poetic and contain messages about the value of craftsmanship, mutual cooperation, and local wisdom. Local materials were chosen as a form of embodiment of vernacular values that have been deeply rooted and exist with the character of the location of the villa.
